Personalized Health Report from CyberFlair Healthy Hints.

Critical

Running Program is Missing Author Information.

This is a highly suspicious program!
All programs can and should clearly identify themselves as to its author and the product it belongs to.

This could be a malicious program, although even those do tend to make up or pretend to be from another company.  Alternatively, the program is likely to be of low quality, as it has been released without little regard for even a basic level of professionalism.

Below shows the full list of possible conditions that can be reported regarding each running program's integrity:
DEBUG •  PRE-RELEASE •  UNKNOWN AUTHOR •  UNVERIFIED •  16-BIT

Overview

As you use a particular program on your computer, there are usually numerous others, some of which stay invisible, that are also running.  Some may be simply waiting for an event to occur before performing an operation, while others may be actively using your computer's processing power.

Programs are components of the software products that have been installed on your computer and each product typically contains multiple programs.  Each of them will be designed to perform certain actions in order to provide some function to the computer or user.  These programs can be broken down into the following types:

  • System programs that silently run in the background in order to provide services to the computer or user.  Some of these have an additional program that actually performs relaying messages to the user.  Such as:
    • Antivirus software that scans programs and stored files for possible infections.
    • Updaters that occasionally check for new versions and fixes for installed software products.
    • Quick startup programs for providing a faster loading experience if you choose to use its product later.
    • Malware that monitors your activities and/or uses your computer's abilities to affect others.
  • User tool programs that mainly run in the background waiting to appear to inform the user of some information or ready to appear when requested by the user.  Such as:
    • Antivirus user interfaces waiting to inform you of status changes or allowing you access to its settings.
    • CyberFlair Healthy Hints for reminding you of when a break is due.
  • Engaging, interactive applications.  These tend to fill the whole of your screen.  Such as:
    • Web Browsers.
    • Office productivity software.
    • Games.
